The Writing Program Score Card is provided to you FREE! Use it to find out how your school measures up in the area of writing instruction! 25-30 points: You are implementing Get Ahead Writing and/or its components effectively. The school should consider long-term maintenance. The Training of Trainers program would benefit the school at this time. 15-25 points: You have some of the elements of Get Ahead Writing in place, however there are gaps in the staff’s implementation of an effective writing program. The school would benefit from The Writing Revolution and by sending teachers to the Summer Writing Institute. 10-15 points: Although some of the critical elements of Get Ahead Writing may be in place, the school would benefit from our traditional model of on-site support- beginning with a kick-off meeting followed by writing application standards trainings.
