| Writing Teacher's Tip Get a first day of school writing sample from each student. You are starting your process of gathering on-going evidence of growth! Then, write a standards-based comment such as "I am excited to work on your use of descriptive language this year!" on each paper. Finally, hang the samples on the Writing Wall!
